Launching a break-through initiative that aims at making the vital subject of mathematics simpler, easier and fun to learn for students, NIIT installed NIIT nguru Math Lab at Chandra National School in Aruppukottai.
NIIT nguru Math Lab is a novel concept which enables school students to learn and explore mathematical concepts and verify mathematical facts and theorems using Multiple Teaching and Learning Aids.
Math Lab is specially crafted in accordance to the NCERT guidelines that focus on learning by doing. It inculcates learning through ‘Applied Reasoning’. It inspires out of the box thinking and provides an opportunity to explore the valuable knowledge with classmates. CBSE has directed that 20 percent of the marks have to be allocated to each student from the Lab Assessments, towards the final marks.
Based on the three pillars of ‘Imagination, Investigation and Interaction’, it provides an opportunity to students to understand, internalize, discover and verify the basic mathematical and geometrical concepts through concrete objects and situations, thus building interest and confidence in students learning the subject.

Language Lab
The purpose of a language lab is to involve students to actively participate in language learning exercises and get more practice than otherwise possible in a traditional classroom environment.
How much speaking practice each student gets during a 45-minute language class, depending on class size:

With a language lab, all students in the class can speak simultaneously without distracting each other regardless of the class size. Without a language lab, in a class of more than 10 students, each student gets less than one minute of speaking practice.
Science Lab

The importance of science in our daily lives may not be obvious, yet we make science-based choices every day. Science is involved when we choose what to eat, or choose products with the least impact on the environment or make informed decisions about our health-care.
It is a way of knowing and thinking about the natural and physical components of the world in which we live. The essential process of learning science includes:

To nurture and develop the skill of investigation and experimentation in children, the science lab in our school is well designed & equipped with all necessary instruments and models which emerge out as a spirit of inquiry and sense of adventure and ask meaningful questions to gain more.
Computer Lab
Computer aided learning is becoming more widely used in teaching. The success of countries in the creation of wealth is now being measured by their ability to exploit and use IT in its industry and education. Use of computer in schools develops Exposure, observation and mastering skills within children.
Our Computer Lab is equipped with high tech systems to enhance and induce interest among children and to explore the world of computers.

The school library is the heart of a school, which itself has learning at its core and good libraries can empower the learner. School libraries can also help teachers to use a broader range of teaching strategies. Our School Library is well furnished and equipped with myriad of books and information at their fingertips, masses of new fiction and a chance to escape into an imaginary world for just 10 minutes or an hour.
